Bynynguen ist nur einmal 1292 in Visp als apud Bynynguen belegt. Es handelt sich wohl um eine verschriebene oder verlesene Form von Byvynguen, also Bifingen ‘das eingezäunte Stück Land’ (cf. HLL BI und FANG).
